So I've been doing more brain-storming and writing word lists again to try to help me work on the title for my work-in-progress. I still keep going back to the idea of simply titling the piece "Suicide", since it is an allegory of suicide and titling it as such will give the best description of the concept. However, here's a few other ideas I've been running through...
The conflicts of the tormented mind or the torments of a conflicted mind... The Complexities of..? Inevitable conflicts of...?
enduring, purgatory, hinder, obstruct, harm, sacrifice, abdicate, salvation, everlasting, incessant, unrelenting, unattainable, impossible....
affliction of self? Enduring Purgatory (torment, misery, affliction?) of self?
final idea was "the unrelenting (or inescapable) hell (or affliction..?) of a conflicted mind"
Either way, I've been steering towards the idea of having the title also be "suicide" So the title would be "such-and-such (Suicide)". That way it's still got the clarity of the concept, so that people don't have to look into it too much. I want to make sure it's obvious, clear, yet not completely dumbed-down.
Until then, I'm going to keep contemplating what direction to go with this. If I was good with words, I would've become a writer. Yet here I am, an artist with writer's block.
